A major smartphone will be released by the end of this year which will feature Google’s Android operating system but will not be tied to Google. According to what Skyhook Wireless CEO Ted Morgan claims, the smartphone will be somewhat similar to what Amazon has done with its Kindle Fire. Ted said to Technology Review that nobody wanted to just be a manufacturer for Google.
