According to a report from Pocket-lint, Facebook wants to buy the Opera browser and turn it into a Facebook browser. It would allow you to keep up to date with your social life using plug-ins and social features on the menu bar. This looks like a strong step towards competing withGoogle and it’s Chrome browser and another bold move into the mobile market.

The "Internet Economy" is Growing Faster Than You Think [report]

The Internet accounts for over 4% of the total U.S. economy and is projected to grow by 8% a year through 2016. Mashable originally posted the report by The Boston Consulting Group. The group took the top 20 global economies (G20) and found the Internet economy is expected to grow 10% for the G-20 countries. Developing countries will see even faster growth with expansion rates of 24% and 23% in countries like Argentina and India.
